Position Description:

The Twin Creeks Leach Foreman will directly supervise Process Leach Technicians with a focus on maximum safety and production.  In addition, you will provide technical support, maintenance support, and project support and fill in for the General Foreman as needed.

  • Comply with state and federal health and safety regulations, company policies and procedures and the company’s environmental compliance policy
  • Monitor and review costs, establish and maintain budgets, assist in developing departmental procedure and policies, administer discipline.
  • Proactively participate in the optimization of short term production planning and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) documents and manage, monitor, and report approved AFE expenditures in accordance with policy.
  • Manage different people between all departments so the facility benefits from the most efficient production and least cost for process.
  • Administer, track and plan the process operation activities ensuring all repairs are adequately prepared for in terms of coordinating between the operations department and all other departments necessary to ensure the most cost efficient operation of the facility.
  • Produce short term shutdown/repair plans including planning, scheduling, implementation and post repair reports
  • Implement all short term maintenance planning functions including work order generation, scheduling, performance and production monitoring systems necessary for cost efficient production.
  • On a monthly basis ensure short and medium term activities are aligned with the long term plan.
  • Oversee new installation design, input of plant repair and new installations startup, communicate department status with supervision and interface with other departments.
  • Review applications for potential employee candidates and participate in interviewing process.
  • Coordinate and oversee all activities leading up to and during scheduled shut downs.
  • Provide training and education on the leaching and projects for leaching process.
  • Generate written work request with outside resources for day to day activities.
  • Oversee small maintenance projects and equipment repairs
  • Develop and review all Short Term Planning procedures
  • Assist in developing new training material for process department.
  • Schedule power reduction for planned plant outages.
  • Negotiate contracts for outside resources.
  • Assist in safety task training of department personnel.
  • Review hourly performance.

The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive. 

  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years experience OR eight (8) years mining experience.
  • Leaching experience in Process Operations such as project management, supervision, equipment operation or skilled labor with at least 2 years experience as a short/medium range coordinator preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to persuade involve and lead a diverse multifunctional group to ensure short/medium term operational goals are achieved in the most efficient cost effective manner.
  • Exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills, and analytical skills
  • A proven history in delivering results, to schedule and budget while demonstrating a proactive commitment to a safe work environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Access and Projects
  • Ability to lead a large group
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of strategic coordination between departments that would affect optimization of the facility.
