Senior Electrical Engineer

 

Location: Jabal Sayid, Medina Province, Saudi Arabia

 

Responsibilities

 

Ma’aden Barrick Copper Company is seeking to appoint Senior Electrical Engineer for our Jabal Sayid copper mining project in Saudi Arabia.  The Senior Electrical Engineer will report to the Maintenance Manger as part of the site Maintenance team.

 

  • The incumbent in this role will be hands on to conduct safe execution of all LV and HV electrical installation and electrical equipment maintenance activities within all Company facilities to ensure maximum availability and reliability of equipment.

  • Commitment of training for Saudi Nationals to improve their skills in line with Company Saudisation commitments

  • Ensure compliance inspections are conducted on time. Ensure compliance registers are kept updated.

  • Develop the workforce to be competent in all areas of electrical maintenance activities.

  • Identify needs; provide coaching, and hands-on training to the team to improve their skills and knowledge when performing the job.

  • Mentor, coach and train to provide technical, practical field support in the various areas of maintenance, focusing on increasing maintenance effectiveness, productivity and lowering cost through improved practices.

  • To ensure maximum equipment availability

  • Develop in conjunction with the Maintenance planning department to include Work Permits and Parts lists for all standard jobs

  • Develop monthly, weekly, daily work schedules to match available manning.

  • Work schedules to include off site facilities, Madinah and Yanbu.

  

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Strong diagnostic ability in electrical fault finding

  • Hands on experience in cabling and terminations LV and HV

  • Hands on approach in leadership.

  • Good organisation skills

  • Good communication (oral and written) skills

  • Strong sense of team participation

  • Self-starting and able to work with minimum supervision

  • Good computer skills

  • Good knowledge in the use of Planning and Inventory control software

  • Safety Management systems

  • PLC programming skills

  • Electrical and instrumentation maintenance

  • Speak fluent English

  • Knowledge of Planning and Inventory control software

  • Riggers Certificate

  • Fork Lift Certificate
