Responsibilities include:  The successful candidate will be responsible for the establishment and management of Project Controls initiatives with the TRJV Project Management Team.  The Project Controls Specialist is project oriented and is responsible to coordinate the timely and accurate development/execution of project plans, ensures project financial performance, minimizes schedule risks, and enhances the team’s ability to meet project expectations.
The Project Controls Specialist should be proficient in the following fields:
  • Work closely with Barrick PMO group to ensure all project management standards are complied with during the process of  project planning and execution
  • Prepare, issue, track and report against project cost forecasts 
  • Ensure all Vendor Onboarding process requirements are in place for all contracts to be executed
  • Directs and coordinates all project control related administration activities
  • The ability and experience to collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks and maximize opportunities is essential
  • Support operational project management requirements as needed


BASIC REQUIREMENTS:  To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, finance or related field or equivalent experience required
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of directly related procurement experience or equivalent combination of training and experience required
  • Strong computer skills using office software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio required
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Ellipse or equivalent enterprise level software packages preferred
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills required. Must be able to manage heavy workload and aggressive timelines in a timely and professional manner, prioritize, and work under pressure required
  • Experience in large engineering or construction projects preferred

Generates alternative solutions that are generally accurate and functional with supporting data and rationale.
