Position Description:

The successful candidate will safely and effectively coordinate the training curriculum of the Open Pit Mobile Maintenance Department.  As a trainer, it is important to be able to adopt new ideas, improvements, and good practice – safety, health, environmental, maintenance, production, and cost reduction - to execute a state of the art training program Maintenance personnel to develop skill sets that challenge individual and team growth. 

  • Candidate must direct needs assessments as a partner in collaboration with the mobile maintenance department and assist in the interpretation of results.  Xxxx
  • Selected person must be able to collaborate with peers, mechanics, and management.
  • Candidate must promote a safe working environment, procedures and culture
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum three (3) years mobile maintenance experience or equivalent industrial type environment, with demonstrated training success in relevant assignment required
  • Minimum five (5) years relevant experience in mobile maintenance required
  •  Proven experience in working with peer groups and focus teams required
  • Proven safety and environmental leadership through Courageous Leadership and Visible Felt Leadership required
  • Sound understanding of safety and environment requirements associated with operating as Responsible Miners required
  • Cooperate with supervisors and managers on management of safety, environmental, maintenance, and production issues required
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite software and Oracle preferred
  • Excellent communication skills—both oral and written required
  • Excellent planning, problem solving, decision making, organizational and interpersonal skills required
