Land Information System Manager

Position Description: Facilitate the development and maintenance of an inventory of lands and land related assets located within the Joint Venture and assist with the maintenance of obligations in connection with such assets.  Develop and maintain the inventory of lands and related obligations using the Joint Venture Land Information System.  Aids the Senior Landman, and to the Manager, Land Information Systems as assigned

 
Responsibilities:
  • Accept land transactions of varied types
  • Analyze and abstract contracts
  • Provide special reports upon request
  • Provide filing instruction to Corporate Records Center regarding new file set-ups

  • Provide information and assistance to land owners and other departments upon request

  • Assist with maintenance of user documentation for the land system.

  • Special projects as assigned
 
 
 
Qualifications:
  • Paralegal/legal assistant or law degree; previous experience or general knowledge in real estate and land titles is a plus

  • Strong PC skills including proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Access.

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Ability and initiative to research data and apply the information to daily work

  • Must be detail oriented and be able to perform work with a high degree of accuracy

  • Must possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with a minimal amount of supervision.

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and outside agencies.

  • Must have proficient English speaking and writing abilities.

  • Must be flexible and be able to effectively function within a “team” structure.

  • Previous experience or knowledge of principles and procedures used in maintaining a data base system a plus.

  • Must be able to travel for up to two weeks for training and review purposes.
