GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary Purpose :
The “Mobile Equipment Maintenance & Reliability Engineer” provides technical oversight and support relative to mobile equipment throughout the region ensuring standards, policies and procedures are deployed and met consistently.
Key Accountabilities /Responsibilities:
Develop and implement action plans associated with the key strategies that comprise the Regional Maintenance Business Plan
Assist sites with equipment criticality assessments ensuring biennial review as a minimum
Formally review and approve maintenance strategies for all critical mobile equipment
Assist sites with critical mobile equipment condition assessments
Assist with formal site assessment against the Maintenance Management System
Liaise with and support site reliability specialists with improvement efforts associated with mobile equipment
Facilitate knowledge sharing through user groups, discussion forums and encouragement of direct communications between sites
Key Result Areas and Measures:
Application of 5S principles to at least one mobile equipment work area at each mine
Critical mobile equipment maintenance strategies reviewed annually for Goldstrike, Cortez and Pueblo Viejo and biennially for Bald Mountain, Turquoise Ridge, Ruby Hill, Hemlo and Golden Sunlight
Site mobile equipment reliability resources in place and effective at Goldstrike, Cortez and Pueblo Viejo
Critical mobile equipment condition assessments prioritized and executed

Work Experience:
ESSENTIAL
Minimum 10 years direct exposure to the maintenance and reliability of mobile mining equipment
Minimum of three years of above experience must be in a decision-making position (ie the authority to define, execute, or control projects/processes and to be responsible for the outcome - this may or may not include management or supervisory positions)
DESIRABLE
Experience managing or supervising an equipment reliability program
Five years experience in managing mobile mining equipment maintenance
Exposure to Project Management tools and techniques.
MS Office Suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, MS Outlook)
Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL
Engineering degree
Driver’s license
DESIRABLE
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Qualification as a certified maintenance and reliability professional
