GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
All aspects of safe and environmentally responsible exploration project design, execution and interpretation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection, integration and interpretation of geological data (drill hole logging, chemical analyses, geological mapping, geophysical and other data sets) on working geological cross sections and plans. Active leadership and coaching of the site staff and contractors through regular interaction in order to ensure consistent, high quality data collection and interpretation. Periodic peer review meetings with internal and external staff/management. Assist with 3D computer modeling of geology based on cross section and plan interpretation.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Minimum Skills and Qualifications Required and/or Preferred:
• Minimum 15 years experience in mining / mineral exploration required with Carlin style Au-deposit experience preferred..
• Demonstrated ability to work safely commitment to a safe work culture and completion of exploration projects in an environmentally responsible manner required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead/coach staff and contractors at all level of expertise required.
• High level of organization and attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities required.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality required.
• Excellent oral and written skills, exhibit strong leadership qualities, demonstrated computer skills required.
• Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Geology or equivalent required
• Experience with acQuire databases, ArcGIS, Vulcan and Gocad software preferred.
