GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include: The successful candidate will assist in the development, training and supervising of engineers. Assist in daily coordination of cost effective, innovative mining operations, including the operation of short term planning, long term planning and day to day engineering activities, or reserve estimation, and project economic analysis. Other duties as assigned.
SELECTION CRITERIA
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:
• BS in Mine Engineering or related field required
• Four years mine engineering experience required
• Five to Ten years progressive experience in open pit planning or production preferred
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Excel, and other Microsoft office programs required
• Working knowledge of Vulcan, Minesite or Q’Pit preferred
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
• Demonstrated capacity to execute and hold self, as well as others, accountable for results required
• Excellent safety record required
