GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include: Plan, develop and/or maintain power distribution system to meet or exceed underground standards. Provide expertise in power distribution troubleshooting including surface and underground facilities and electrical equipment. Generate and/or maintain company documentation including schematics and manuals. Approve all electrical design work in conjunction with project engineers, operations engineers and maintenance personnel. Coordinate all electrical design work with BGMI, Regional and Corporate groups. Ensure that life cycle plans exist and are maintained for power distribution systems for both underground and surface and the plans reflect actions required to meet future requirements. Provide input to specifications of new generation projects.
SELECTION CRITERIA
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Three (3) years practical engineering/maintenance experience in a mining application required.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, MS Outlook, AutoCad or Vulcan required.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job required.
