OPEN PIT GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER
Ideally, professional Engineer status or eligibility with 2-5 years of practical geotechnical experience in hard rock environments. Alternatively a person with significant open pit experience, enthusiasm, creativity and an ability to grasp concepts quickly could be successful in this role. This individual will report to the Senior Ground Control Engineer and be responsible for all Open Pit ground control activities. The Open Pit Ground Control Engineer will lead and develop the long and short term geotechnical projects and activities. This will include daily visual inspections of the pit, wall control optimization, wall monitoring, instrumentation, geotechnical mapping, as well as strategic input to short and long term sequencing.
