Position Overview
The Processing Department currently has two Metallurgist vacancies (a permanent role and a 12 month contract). These roles would be reporting to the Senior Metallurgist, and will be responsibile for optimising the metallurgical operation by providing metallurgical control, research, development and advice relating to production inputs.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
Develops and maintains reporting databases and prepares daily, weekly and monthly statistics and reports
Liaises regularly with mining, geology and environmental departments to obtain information for effective process planning and environmental compliance
Provides ongoing training and development to process department staff
Conducts and reports on research and development projects for current and future process refinements
Experience & Requirements:
Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or Mineral Dressing.
Operational metallurgical experience, preferably with exposure to gold extraction and flotation.
Excellent computer literacy
Training and presentational skills.
Institute Membership desirable.
